Foundations in Humanistic Psychology and Positive Psychology
I help children and adolescents become congruent with their best selves. An increased knowledge of self can lead to better self-esteem and satisfaction with the world around them. Loss of self and self-doubt can manifest in young people as anxiety, depression, burn out, anger, and more. Highly sensitive children and teenagers are especially vulnerable right now to struggles with these symptoms and may need guidance to (re)discover their purposes and passions.
In sessions, I incorporate evidence-based treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which is layered with my foundation in Humanistic Psychology and Positive Psychology. I also work with clients to identify and teach new emotional regulation, coping and calming strategies.
With adults, I combine insight-oriented psychotherapy with CBT through the lens of Positive and Humanistic Psychology. Through the process of identifying one’s strengths and potentials, we can develop a future that is aligned with your core beliefs and motivations. We will also gain a better understanding of the self and self-acceptance to bring about an awareness of emotions and behaviors to achieve personal fulfillment.
